In ‘\u003cem\u003eEx-Voto’\u003c\/em\u003e, Alys explored Christian pilgrimage sites in France, Ireland, and Poland, creating images that evoke a distinct stillness and reflect a mysterious, timeless quality. Following this, Alys co-directed her film, ‘\u003cem\u003eMother Vera’\u003c\/em\u003e, a feature-length documentary based on an Orthodox Christian nun whose portrait was a key image in the ‘\u003cem\u003eEx-Voto’\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eproject.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAly currently lives and works in Dubai.
